This week Roisin meets 'Sarah', a young woman who became homeless after suffering from abuse throughout her childhood and addiction as an adult. She speaks of the helplessness and fear she experienced on the streets, and how a charity, Daisyhouse, has helped her to recover and move on.
Daisyhouse is 'a space where homeless women can recover from the trauma of their experience, feel safe and secure and, in time, move forward in their personal development and lives'. It is running a photography exhibition, 'Faces of homelessness', in the Powerscourt Town House until December 13th.
