The question is how to deal with the loss of a loved one? Even though we have read about it in books like Gita but at that time the knowledge does not work. Then, how to come out of that difficult time? You can put medicine on a wound or consult many good doctors but a wound always takes its own time to heal. You cannot heal it forcefully or immediately. Similarly when someone dear to you leaves from your life, it becomes like a wound on your soul. It may take days, a month, a year, few years or it may take a whole life to heal that wound or may not heal at all. The more you have been attached to that person or have spend good time with that person, the deeper that wound is and the longer it will take to heal. The more emotionally you have invested in a person and have beautiful memories with them, the longer it will take to get over the pain of losing that person.
If you hear about the death of a person you do not know or somehow have known them a little, you will feel sad momentarily. You will be able to get over that sadness soon. However, if you lose someone with whom you have spent a considerable amount of time, then that loss becomes a deep wound and it will take its own time and course to heal. That is the only way and it is a hard truth.
