Dr. Ceppa is an Assistant Professor of Cardiothoracic surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she is also the Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Simulation Laboratory. She also serves as the Medical Director of the Indiana University Health lung-screening-program and is also on faculty for the Masters of Physician Assistant Studies program. Dr. Ceppa received her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine in 2001, and completed her residency in General Surgery also at Duke in 2008. During her residency, Dr. Ceppa also completed a 2-year research fellowship in New York City at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center with the Thoracic Surgery service. Choosing Duke again, Dr. Ceppa then completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship in 2011. Dr. Ceppa is married to an academic surgeon, and they have three young children.
