Joe Gray has worked at the World Famous Apollo Theater for almost 30 years where he began as a truck loader and now holds the position of Head Of Stage. He is a musician, songwriter, photographer, and educator. Mr. Gray performs every week as the “Set It Off Man” in their iconic weekly show “Amateur Night at the Apollo.” Joe has a BA in music education, he has toured and or performed with some of the nation's top artist such as Lenny Kravitz, Kashif, Patti Labelle, the rock Funk group Cameo, and has recently received a Grammy certificate for his participation on the Grammy award-winning album by Stephan Marley. He continues to be a mentoring and positive force to all that comes in contact with him. Matt and Joe are founders of the non-profit "Your Time To Shine, Inc." that brings music education, inspiration, and career development to in-need communities and teaches music as a force that creates community, confidence, and crosses all divides.
