Film and TV star Manny Hernandez is best known for his work on "Joey".
Hernandez is also known for his stint on "Burn Notice", and the films "Shutter" with Joshua Jackson and "Bottom's Up" with Paris Hilton.
Hernandez was born in Tijuana Mexico and came to the US at four and didn't start acting until about thirteen years ago." I was floundering about and by floundering I mean a total wreck, then one day a friend took me to an acting class and it saved my life. Two years ago I donated a kidney to my dad and while in recovery my body went into shock and I flat lined, yup I was dead, I came back too right before the doctor zapped me with the defibrillator, so there's that. I've never had any film school and learned on the fly. Taught myself to edit, write and direct. I'm in post on a feature PURE LOVE that I wrote, directed and acted in (with Charlene Amoia) I'm acting in another film THE VANISHED that I'm also producing, should finish production by end of May. In the meantime I'm also producing two shorts that I'm also acting in. One just wrapped the other will be wrapped in two weeks. I'm a part of two other feature films CALLEJERO and VERTICAL that should be released this year also. I work with two non profits, Arts for a Better Tomorrow and Bridgetoskate.org (I'm on the board with this one) ".
He has four major films due for release in 2014, including "Pure Love" with Charlene Amoia, "The Vanished" (which he also produced), and "Students Like Us".
