Alexander J Michels holds a PhD in Biochemistry & Biophysics from Oregon State University and is currently a Research Associate at the Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State.
Researchers at the Linus Pauling Institute investigate the role that vitamins, essential minerals and compounds from plants play in human aging, immune function, and chronic diseases. A major emphasis is to understand the role of oxidative stress and inflammation in disease etiology, and the preventive effects of dietary constituents with antioxidant or anti-inflammatory properties.
Dr. Michel has written on molecular and cell biology, Biochemistry, Oxidative Stress, Antioxidants, and clinical biochemistry among other topics. He has been researching vitamin C since 2007.
