May 18th, 1998: With only two weeks to go before "Over the Edge," big things are happening on "Raw" so we had to bring in Martin Dixon from The New Blood Rising to help break it all down! On this very day, World Championship Wrestling filed a frivolous lawsuit against the WWF, and we have all of the amusing details. Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, and Gerald Brisco claim they are all willing to fight "Stone Cold" Steve Austin tonight...... unfortunately, Austin is banned from the building. Dustin Runnels is given a chance to main event "Over the Edge" if he can defeat Dude Love, but he will have to work for 30 days without receiving a paycheck if he loses. Attitude Era mainstay Val Venis finally makes his in-ring WWF debut in what turns out to be a bit of a clunky match against Scorpio. Paul Bearer and Kane head to a local medical center for some DNA testing in an attempt to definitively prove that Bearer is Kane's father, but we are only able to focus on the fact that Kane is wearing a jacket with neon purple sleeves. The DX/Nation of Domination rivalry continues to intensify as The New Age Outlaws defend their WWF Tag Team Titles against The Rock & Owen Hart. Sable has ended her relationship with Marc Mero, but "The Marvelous One" is not willing to let her break her ironclad managerial contract. L.O.D. 2000 continues their feud with The Disciples of Apocalypse to the delight of no one. Kaientai take on The Headbangers in tag team action because sometimes you just need to fill five minutes of TV time. Fearing for his safety, Jerry "The King" Lawler enlists the help of a mystery man under a sheet to act as his personal bodyguard. Meanwhile over in WCW, Eric Bischoff defeats Vince McMahon via countout and we get one of the most awesome moments in the history of the company!
