April 27th, 1998: It's the night after "Unforgiven," and special guest co-host Troy Boesen from The Geek & Gamer Guild Podcast is here to recap a historic episode of "Monday Night Raw!" In one of the most famous moments in WWE history, D-Generation-X seeks to take the fight directly to World Championship Wrestling by invading a nearby taping of "Nitro." Later in the night, Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws battle Skull & 8-Ball in a non-title match while Triple-H issues an open challenge for his European Title. Vince McMahon considers firing WWF Champion "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for his actions the previous night but instead he puts him into a title match against The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust, much to the chagrin of Dude Love. Ken Shamrock & Owen Hart take on The Rock & Mark Henry, but a shocking swerve results in one of the competitors being badly injured. The Undertaker faces (of all people) Barry Windham in The Dead Man's first match on "Raw" in four months. After the match, Paul Bearer proposes a truce to 'Taker and delivers a shocking revelation about his relationship to Kane. Sable finally decides to stick up for herself by challenging Marc Mero to a match on "Raw" two weeks from now because potential spousal abuse = ratings! Jeff Jarrett goes one-on-one with Bradshaw as Club Kamikaze continues to make life difficult for the future JBL. Terry Funk & 2 Cold Scorpio square off with The Headbangers in a match where the winning team receives a shot at the WWF Tag Team Titles.
This episode is almost two and a half hours long but, much like Val Venis, we refuse to apologize for the length.
