January 5th, 1998: "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is a marked man heading into the upcoming Royal Rumble, so he decides to preemptively take out his competition. Jim Cornette seeks to bring "real wrestling" to the WWF by brokering a deal with the National Wrestling Alliance. Owen Hart goes one-on-one with Savio Vega, but DX has a plan for "The Black Hart." Later, Shawn Michaels calls out The Undertaker, presumably thinking there was no way The Dead Man would actually show up. Kane has apparently abandoned Paul Bearer after three whole months of them being united. Marc Mero and Tom Brandi finally go head-to-head, but Sable takes the majority of the bumps. The Artist Formerly Known As Goldust performs in blackface as Vince McMahon presumably laughs uproariously backstage. The New Age Outlaws take on The Headbangers in a match which features one of the most unique ball-shots in wrestling history. The Truth Commission and The Disciples of Apocalypse continue to feud with each other, to the delight of no one. Plus, can Ken Shamrock defeat a member of The Nation of Domination for the third week in a row? Also, a pre-taped appearance from a real-life murderer! Enjoying the Podcast?
