Produced by http://Fastpitch.TV - In part four of Bill Hillhouse's pitching clinic he talks about the basics of pitching and his theories and methods to pitching. You can buy softball bats at http://SoftballJunk.com.Hillhouse talks about how to fix the crow hop while pitching. He saying that it is a problem with the hands and not the feet and if the hands were moving faster the feet wouldn't have time to replant and the crow hop would be eliminated. He says to work with a lighter ball to get the arm to move faster so that the feet wouldn't have time to even get off the ground to begin with. He also addresses the weighted softball usage. Hillhouse says that they are not as bad as some people portray them to be and the only thing that he doesn't like about them is that after a few pitches the ball starts to get heavier in the hand the pitcher starts to rely on muscles and not actually pitching correctly. He says they are good for working spins to make the fingers stronger so that spin on the pitch is better and they are good for his sideways "k" drill. He also talks about the different types of drags that some pitchers use and that he doesn't recommend the figure four drag or the "s" drag because it does not keep the momentum dragging but actually directs the momentum in different directions other than straight to the catcher.
