From Southwest Detroit and a proud grandson of Sagamok First Nations grandmother - Soufy is a Native hip hop artist whose work embodies the modern city native experience. Through the Raiz Up Collective he is an activist that brings awareness to the anticolonial struggle.
With a father incarcerated until he was 13 and a mother who has struggled with substance abuse. Soufy uses hip hop to deal with racism, water rights and community. He performs across the country and facilitates workshops based on native culture.
