For over three years, you have downloaded, listened, subscribed, rated, reviewed, and encouraged us with this podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, Purple Row, social media, and elsewhere. So now that we've made it to the watershed moment that is our 100th episode, we have settled on one thing: it's your fault you still have to deal with this on a weekly basis.
But hey, we love you for it! #PDP100 is here, and it's one of our longest (and arguably best) ever. Denver comedian Andrew Orvedahl joins the show to talk about his time growing up as a sports fan in the Mile High City, Denver's pipeline of successful comedians, why he has an allegiance to another National League West foe, and how that causes friction with his coworkers. And oh yeah, his coworkers! Andrew is one third of legendary Denver comedy juggernaut The Grawlix and, along with Adam Cayton-Holland (the PDP's first-ever guest all the way back on #PDP2) and Ben Roy (a future PDP guest), also one-third of the creative creators behind TruTV's "Those Who Can't" which returns for its third season this fall. Comedy, working in television, the Rockies, and his adorable kiddo's former YouTube cooking show are all on the docket for this week's episode.
We're talking Clayton Kershaw and his FEELINGS this week as well as Trevor Story's sluggish start, German Marquez's shot at a rotation spot in Jon Gray's absence, updates on prospects like Riley Pint, Yency Almonte, and Mike Nikorak, and lots of other basebally things.
Plus, we give you a snippet of our crossover episode with Beyond the Box Score's "In Play Pod(cast)" with Nick Stellini and Evan Davis. To hear the full show, go subscribe to their podcast. In fact, just do that anyway. They're great.
We never would've made 100 episodes without you, and we love you all. Really.
