Meet Jesal and Rochard. We are the Transatlantic Rebels. In Episode 8, our special Public Enemy series consisting of in-depth past reviews continues with their third album "Fear of a Black Planet" from 1990. We will follow this next week with a final podcast for their fourth album "Apocalypse 91... The Enemy Strikes Black." We talk about how this album shines a light on what life in America is actually like for black people; tangents include sub-prime mortgages, mentoring and the racism controversy; Jesal continues his Flavor Flav homage; and we assess why this is probably Rochard's favourite album of all time. Jesal is from the UK, and Rochard is from America. We like to talk in depth about albums, films, TV shows and books. Rochard has a background in TV, acting, writing and many other areas of art creation. Jesal has a background in music: DJ, producer, artist, critic and other stuff. Enjoy!
