Meet Jesal and Rochard. We are the Transatlantic Rebels. In Episode 7, our special Public Enemy series consisting of in-depth past reviews begins with their second album "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back" from 1988. We will follow this in the coming weeks with podcasts for their third and fourth albums "Fear of a Black Planet" and "Apocalypse 91... The Enemy Strikes Black." We talk about how this album started a revolution that never quite made it to TV; how many times Just Blaze mined this LP for inspiration; refuse to believe the hype generated by Flavor Flav; and assess why this is one of Rochard's favourite albums ever. Jesal is from the UK, and Rochard is from America. We like to talk in depth about albums, films, TV shows and books. Rochard has a background in TV, acting, writing and many other areas of art creation. Jesal has a background in music: DJ, producer, artist, critic and other stuff. Enjoy!
