Our first caller, Jessica, is having trouble deciding if she should stay with her long-time boyfriend after finding out he has been unfaithful. Our inspirational guest today is Decker Moss. Decker struggled for many years to come to terms with his true gender identity. As a young girl with a twin, he found himself torn between his own male identity and the identity he shared with his sister. Listen in as Decker recounts the four decades he spent as a female and how he was finally able to come to terms with his authentic self and make the transition to the gender he always believed he was.
Our final caller, Alicia, is trying to find the best way to explain to her birth father’s family that she has been adopted by her step-dad. Hear Nancy explain to Alicia that she just needs to be honest and simply trust that her birth family will still love and support her no matter what.
Sometimes we feel that our body image must fit the mold of what others consider normal. But what we often forget is that we each have the power to create our own perception of ourselves. By practicing positive body image we can shut down the voices that inhibit us from living our lives full out.
