Marvel Studios' first film of 2017 is finally here - 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.' The sequel to the surprise hit of 2014 has high expectations to meet but, as we mentioned last episode, it opened to $145 million domestically - bringing its two week total to a whopping $425 million worldwide. We think they're doing just fine.
In this episode we talk about James Gunn's music choices for Awesome Mix Volume 2, the story picking up shortly after the first film left off, and how darn cute Baby Groot is. All this, plus Tom talks about how St. Louis affected the filmmaker's vision, Dan salivates over a DQ Brazier, and Kevin and Joe debate the best title sequences in cinematic history.
It's Reel Spoilers 279. You've been warned.
