On this week’s GAA Championship podcast, The Throw-In, in association with BoyleSports, Alan Brogan joined the team as they looked ahead to three provincial football finals.
The Dubs are defending their Leinster title against Westmeath and while Brogan couldn’t see a way past Dublin, he still cautioned that the Dubs can’t think it will be easy either.
“Dublin have just too much talent but they can’t let any complacency set in against Westmeath,” he told presenter Frank Roche, who was also joined by INM GAA Correspondents, Michael Verney, Donnchadh Boyle, and Conor McKeon.
As to how Westmeath would take on Dublin, the question was whether they should have a go or sit back and contain what they concede.
Alan Brogan though was clear how they should approach it.
“Tom Cribben should allow his Westmeath players to express themselves and try and come out and attack,” he said. “Dublin will probably only have one extra man in the back so there will be opportunities for Westmeath’s forwards.”
