**Homeschool Science Tip of the Month - Use these six tips to start your new year off on the right foot!**
For most of us, August marks the beginning of a new school year. It's an exciting time! We get to finally try out that new curriculum we researched or pick back up those programs that we love.
We get to bring back a bit of structure and organization to our day. But going from the freedom of summer to the discipline of your homeschooling routine is not without a few hiccups along the way.
These six tips will help start your new year off on the right foot!
1. Gather your supplies ahead of time, including library books, experiment supplies, and printables.
2. Stock up on school supplies - you can never have enough pencils, erasers, and paper.
3. Plan out the first few weeks, but be will to adjust as you work through your plans.
4. End your first week with a Friday Fun Day by adding in music, art, and nature study.
5. Intentionally carve out time to read aloud to all your kids.
6. Schedule your first break and plan to actually rest during that time!
I hope that you all have a wonderful year filled with homeschooling fun and treasured moments with your children!
