"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s."
1 Cor. 6:19-20
Scripture teaches us that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost and that our bodies belong to God. His Word says that we are to glorify Him in our body and in our spirit.
In This Episode We Look At:
Are we taking care of the temple?
Are we doing our part to attain and/or maintain health so that we can better serve the Lord?
What kind of rationalizations do we tell ourselves when we consume food that should not enter our bodies? As Christians, we are not exempt to the consequences of neglecting our health.
Our Actions are going to come from our closely-held beliefs
If we believe that we can eat unhealthily "a little bit here, a little bit there"–we will reap the consequences.
If we believe that we should be faithful stewards of our health; we will seek to eat better and move more!
Practical Steps for improved, healthy temples:
Remember your protein and veggies Consistency pays off (small adjustments adhered to consistently) Do cardio (see your doctor first if you haven't done cardio in a while or quickly have loss of breath) Get Stronger: utilize exercise such as squats, pushups, pull ups, and lunges Get plenty of sleep–make it a priorityToday's Resources and Links:
