What’s that? Two episodes of ‘Horrorfied’ in one week? That’s right. We deliver, dammit. Since we took so long getting last week’s episode out to you, we’re giving you an extra dose - because we’re good people. Some would say we’re damn near saintly, up there with Popes and those ASPCA commercials in our generosity (insert that Sarah McLachlan song here).
This week, we bring you a discussion about Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg’s epic “Zom-Com” “Shaun of the Dead.”
We explore the film’s damn near perfect plot and take a look at some of the social commentary that runs rampant throughout.
Featured in the studio today is Danny Willis (and his lovely lady, Rachel Price), guitarist from the UK’s “Escaping Juliet” to give his commentary on a film he refers to as “an addiction.” With their help, we talk about what “Shaun of the Dead” meant to both British and American audiences and what we can all take away from the wit, gore, and romance that the film presents.
We also talk about Donald Trump. Kind of a lot.
