In episode 31 MTT Coach Gareth James and Peak Performance Consultant Dr. Tricia Cardner tackle a plethora of questions that have recently been sent in. (16:54) Gareth discussed satellite strategy and explained why even though a shove might be mathematically correct, it is not always the best strategy in a satellite. Tricia also shared some of her experiences playing satellites at the WSOP.
Next up (41:27) Tricia discussed the topic of making bad calls even though you know you’re beat. She explained that willpower is limited and it can get used up in a long session. She also prescribed a method for making better decisions while preserving willpower.
We also discussed how our fear of looking stupid or of being exploited can cause us to make mistakes.
We then wrapped up the show by wishing all of our listeners a happy holiday season!
