H'what's up Creeps, we're finally back after a two week hiatus in which we wrestled with various curses, health problems, and vermin infestations.
Holy hell are we rusty. Many apologies.
Regardless - we are back in full swing with the first part of a three part series on the 2016 horror hit THE VVITCH and the TRUTH behind the Salem Witch Trials of 1629 and Witchcraft the world over.
Taking place during the bleakest of bleak periods in colonial American history, THE VVITCH tells the story of a family exiled to the outskirts of an early American settlement after making outrageous claims about religion and God and thoroughly pissing off everyone in their village. According to legend, a WITCH lies in the nearby wood and increasingly terrorizes the family, tearing them apart piece by piece; systematically breaking them until there is nothing left.
The film ultimately has little to no payoff (in our humble opinion) and left the three of us, at least, with an awful taste in our mouth (the taste was mashed up baby).
Join us next week as we make some special announcements, have our very first on-air fan phone call, and take an in-depth look at the faulty judicial system of the 1690's.
We're glad to be back and we thank you all so much for the unending support. Stay tuned for big things coming on The Horrorfied Podcast.
As always...
EEEEENJOY!
Special thanks to this week's musical guest SWEATHER WEATHER. Check them out on SoundCloud for some smooth, witch-free, R&B grooviness.
