Creating a Tour Company with Tim & Topher from Unbounded Adventures
On this episode of the podcast, we're joined by Tim & Topher from Unbounded Adventures, a travel company seeking to lead people in unique and educational travel trips around the world.
Tim's first travel experience was an outdoor survival school, and after being an urban planner for a number of years, he decided to quit that job to become a travel director. For Topher, he started backpacking at the age of 20 and has continued to travel and work abroad since then. He has been an arborist for a number of years, ran a biodiesel company in Kenya, and worked and volunteered around the world.
Tim & Topher first met when they were studying geography together in college. After years of keeping in touch a little bit, they came together to work on Unbounded Adventures together.
On this episode, we talk about the journey to create Unbounded Adventures, where the inspiration came from and the challenges of creating a tour company. We also dive into marketing a tour company, and philosophize about the impact that travel has on the locals in developing countries and what the impact of our travels on these people and places is.
Enjoy!
