Two different readings are given, one from Psychology and Religion: West and East , vol. 11 of the Collected Works. A second reading of Jung is taken from vol. 18 titled The Symbolic Life. Both readings invite the listener into Jung's thoughts and considerations on Zen Buddhism. It is interesting to see how Jung developed his beliefs about the Buddha, especially the aspect of "suffering". Jung draws the parallel between this way of being in Buddhism and in Psychology deepening our understanding of how they relate to one another.
