Business
"I Am, Because We Are" , Zane Wilemon (Part 1)
This week’s podcast is very exciting for all entrepreneurs and startups, because at some point or another all of you have had this moment. The ways in which change agents develop the means for their causes are extremely unique, and speaking with us today is someone who found himself through venturing out to try new things, not only for personal gain, but for the ability to bring together communities and make a difference. Zane Wilemon, Founder and Director of CTC International, speaks with us this week on his journey to entrepreneurship through social good business. Discovering his passion for the children and people of Kenya, Zane found opportunities to apply his skills for good! He often refers to the saying, “UBUNTU: I am, because we are” displaying that it’s not about one person, it’s about coming together and forming partnerships, and establishing meaningful relationships with others. This vision of unity enables individuals to be truly impacted.
“Today, CTC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that helps Kenyans build and manage the sustainable infrastructure necessary to meet the challenges of everyday life, employing over 60 local Kenyans and serving the 60,000 residents of Maai Mahiu in the Rift Valley.”
