Deborah Trent was a typical substance abuse counselor who wanted to make a difference in the lives of her clients. In 2001 Debbie stumbled upon the 3 Principles, a common-sense approach to how people experience life that stressed a foundation of innate mental health. It rang true to her and changed her approach to working with clients in every setting from that point forward.
In today's show, listen in to Jeanne and Debbie's conversation about 15 years of working with the 3 principles in addiction counseling. Real people, inspiring stories and transformation!

Deborah Trent was always drawn to helping others find a happier and more peaceful life. She first attempted that by following traditional paths and acquiring a Bachelor of Science in Social Work Degree, followed by a Master’s Degree and an Education Specialist Degree, both in Counseling. She loved working as a therapist, but felt there was a missing piece that she needed to find to share with people that would give deeper, longer lasting relief from their issues, and permanent peace of mind.
Deborah has worked in community, nonprofit and private practice settings. Most recently she played a role in the opening a 3-Principle based inpatient substance abuse treatment center in Gulf Breeze, Florida, first as their lead trainer and later as the clinical director. Recently Deborah moved to Dunedin, Florida where she is helping to open an out-patient treatment center in the Tampa Bay Area, based of course, on the knowledge that all people have innate mental health and can find a substance free way to happiness and peace of mind.
