If someone really believes that holding onto money in a savings account is "a waste of money" then that person is going to have a hard time building up an emergency fund.
In order to change our financial behavior we must first change our financial beliefs.
The Christian should turn to Scripture to learn and adopt the principles of money in their own lives.
For example, the person struggling with debt could look to Proverbs 22:7. Someone who struggles with controlling impulse shopping could read and meditate on Luke 12:15 and Luke 14:28
