The question is that some people end up meeting their guru very early on their life and some meet much later. The truth is finding a guru early on in your lives especially if you are not looking for a guru does not necessarily mean that you will benefit from that guru. To derive benefit from anything or anybody particularly a guru, you have to have a certain degree of willingness, a certain degree of readiness so that you can listen to your guru, you can assimilate, absorb or reflect on his or her teachings and adopt them in your normal lives. One of the greatest mistakes you can make is to think that just because your child has been blessed by a guru, that child is going to do really well in life. Infect, that’s often not the case. Because what happens: Nature allows for no complacency of any kind when it comes to parenting. If parents don’t take care of their child the way they children are supposed to be taken care of. If they don’t bring up their children the way they are expected to be brought up, no guru can save that situation.
There are people whose children have played in the laps of the gurus, and yet they turned out not just ordinary people but below ordinary. Because, somewhere the parents thought that now the blessing is there we don’t have to do much.
