Jake Butt's journey to the NFL hasn't been without trials. After not getting recruited by his hometown school, Jake attended the University of Michigan on a football scholarship. Although his career at Michigan was bookended by ACL injuries, it didn't stop him from incredible achievements during his 4 years there.
- 2x All-Big Ten offensive first-team (by both the coaches and media)
- 2x first-team All-American by the Walter Camp Football Foundation
- 2x Kwalick–Clark Tight End of the Year
- 2016 John Mackey Award winner, honoring the most outstanding tight end in college football
- 2016 Senior CLASS Award winner
We talk about Jake's journey from Ohio to Denver and how his injuries shaped him into who he is today. How his faith, belief in himself, and positive attitude helped him as he continues to pursue his dreams. And mostly, how he is feeling better than ever and ready for his rookie season in the NFL.
