This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast, Patrick and Mike embark on a month long journey into to realm of Disney Halloween movies. You can try and deny that you remember staying up late to watch them, but the fact is those movies are what got most of us into the Horror genre today, so stop lying.
Our show teamed up with Shudder, a Horror movie subscription site that brings screams on demand. If you head over to www.Shudder.com and use the promo code JUNKIES, you will get a full free 30 day trial on their site. Currently they have Rob Zombie's House of a 1000 Corpses and The Devils Rejects. So head over the site, sign up, and claim that free month of screams.
We always try to bring you the latest news in the Horror community and this week, we had a few stories that we found interesting enough to talk about. One of the more interesting news that caught our attention was that the official Halloween trailer was finally released and words can begin to describe our excitement here on the show. 40 years after the events of the original Halloween, this 2018 release will take its viewers on a thrilling ride.
Welcome to week 2, where we start diving deeper into the Disney Halloween movies. For this week's discussion we tackle Under Wraps, Mom's Got A Date With A Vampire, Phantom of the Megaplex, and Smart House. All four movies have something special about them and even though they don't really hold up today, the cheesy acting and story lines get us every time.
We wanted to give a shout out to three podcasts we really enjoy, here on the Horror Junkies Podcast. The first show you should check out our The Final Boys and then there's The Mortuary, but if your wanting weird stuff check out our favorite bearded boys from This Might Sound Crazy. All three of these shows are fantastic and the host bring some much to the table. If your into movie reviews, banter, and creepy weird stuff check them out.
As always leave us a review, follow us on Instagram and Twitter, and tell your friends about our show, so that they can join in on the horror. If you have any show topics, movies, comics, or have something Horror related you would like to see discussed on the show, shoot us an email at horrorjunkiepodcast@gmail.com
