“If you wind up in media, it’s good to stay really grounded because it’s quite fickle and it won’t last forever.” - Maz Compton, The Moment HQ podcast
It doesn’t happen with everyone you interview. It’s not something that everybody has. But Maz Compton is one of those rare individuals who knows how to keep it real. She’s genuine and open about the path she’s walked - the darkness and the light. And, I think her honesty and candid nature make her that much more interesting to chat to.
Most of you will know Maz as one of Australia’s foremost radio personalities and entertainment reporters. She has ten years experience on camera, radio, behind the scenes production, and hosting live events.
She’s shared the couch with all the big names including, Sandra Bullock, Sir Richard Branson, Lady Gaga and many more! She’s presented MTV Australia’s VMA and ARIA Red Carpet Specials and won the ASTRA for most popular female presenter in 2008.
And this year she wrote Unedited, an eBook on ‘What happens when the microphones are off’.
What I wanted to capture and share in today’s podcast is her personal story on why she ditched the glamour and heels for some training shoes to run F45 gym in Avalon.
