“Constantly simplify your life to the most important people and things.”
- Dandapani
Dandapani is a Hindu priest, speaker on self development and an entrepreneur. For 10 years he lived a life of serious personal discipline, training at a monastery in Hawaii.
When his vows expired eight years ago He made New York City his new home, determined to live and practice everything he teaches in the most invigorating and challenging city in the world. He works with a variety of individuals, companies and organisations around the world conducting training through workshops, retreats and exclusive coaching circles.
Dandapani says, each year we have more people in our lives (and more Facebook friends) yet we don’t have more energy.
By being vigilant and mindful of who we give our time and energy to we actually create more space for what we truly love to enter our lives.
In this conversation Dandapani explains the difference between concentration, meditation and mindfulness. He gives us an very simple activity to do daily that will support us to become masters in concentration.
“If you really look at it, most people are so distracted that they can’t focus and the reason they can’t focus primarily is one is they never learnt to concentrate and second they don’t practice it. So if you never learn it and don’t practice it, you’re never good at it.”
A inspiring and insightful discussion around how effortlessly we can change our lives and foster creativity by adopting a concentration and meditation practice.
