At the age of 10 he got infected with the hardcore virus and has been present in the underground scene ever since as clubber, promotor, dj and producer, always keeping a low profile and working with a diverse selection of people. Alexis Tyrel is one of the so many concepts and outbursts of this artists. His first releases were played by artists like Robert Hood, Ben Klock and Steve Rachmad, resulting in gigs at Ostgut/Berghain, Tresor and Awakenings and residencies at Extrema and One Madrid. When also outside labels like Kanzleramt, Sino and Nervous signed his music, his underground status was totally confirmed. ALEXIS TYREL: "The mix I did was recorded last sunday having worked the whole day on a new album in the studio. For this mix I tried to combine funky housy groove with some more melodical songs ranging for own productions to some more known killer tracks. Further to give you a real feeling I did not prepare anything and just hit record and started mixing. Hope this mix gives you a summery spacy and groovy vibe as that was in my mind while I recorded. Near the end it the mix flips a bit to something a little more dark/fierce, hope you enjoy.
