On this week's episode of The Throw-In, Will Slattery is joined by Michael Verney of the Irish Independent and Waterford legend John Mullane to discuss the All-Ireland hurling final.
Limerick prevailed by one point in a dramatic finale against Galway, but Michael argues that the game was more of a 'one-point hammering' which Limerick dominated. Mullane says that he was seriously impressed by the movement of the Limerick forward line, which made life very difficult for the Tribesmen defence.
The lads agree that Limerick won almost every battle around the field but they give massive credit to Joe Canning for inspiring the Galway comeback.
Michael and John also give their selection for Hurler of the Year, and pick out a team who is poised for a breakout season in 2019.
