In this episode, Black Hollywood Live hosts Nick Perdue and Megan Thomas interview special guest Jaclyn Betham. Jaclyn Betham, originally from Long Beach, CA, has had a love for performing since before she could remember, starting off in gymnastics as just a young girl. After a huge growth spurt Jaclyn turned to ballet where she quickly excelled and began training with the San Jose Ballet Company. At the age of 15 she was accepted into the Houston Ballet where she performed for three years before moving back to San Jose as part of the San Jose Opera.At 19 Jaclyn had the opportunity to dance and coach with Ballet Pacifica and she quickly fell in love with teaching. She became an instructor for the San Jose Ballet and started her own non-profit, the Betham Ballet Theatre, which gives underprivileged children the chance to learn the art of ballet.
