Episode 48: US Open Preview Pt. 2 with Thai-Son Kwiatkowski
Welcome back to…. Part Two of a Four-Part US Open preview edition of Hey, Great Shot!! On this episode, University of Virginia All-American and World No. 356 Thai-Son Kwiatkowski joins Hosts Alex Gruskin and Max Rothman to continue their deep dive into the men’s singles draw. The guys breakdown Juan Martin Del Potro’s quarter of the draw, discussing the quarter’s biggest contenders, best young prospects, likeliest candidates for upsets, and the chances of the American players in the section. They also pester Thai into sharing some of his experiences from the 2018 season, talking smack about his UVA teams, and predicting the 2018 US Open men’s singles champion.
A huge thank you to Thai for taking the time to come on and share his colorful opinions. If you want to learn more about his training schedule, time at the University of Virginia, pro tennis career, or his life in general, check out his episode of the Cracked Interviews Podcast.
