24: Designing a Culture that Grows Your Brand with Kara McKeage

Kara shares her team structure, her approach to team meetings, and other unique ways she stays connected to her ever-expanding team of service providers. She also shares how this culture results in more referrals and revenue for her business.

Kara started the company in 2012 as a side hustle to her stay at home mom gig. Pepper's has had tremendous growth the past two years and now has 16 part-time employees. Kara and her team help local busy professionals manage their homes so they have the time to focus on the things that matter most.

 During the “Ask Shelli Anything” segment, Kara gets some insight on how to release a team member who has not been performing to her standards. This is an uncomfortable conversation to host for any leader, and we know it just as uncomfortable for the team member.
