The New Orleans Pelicans came to terms with Los Angeles Clippers' point guard Tyrone Wallace yesterday. Wallace at 6'5 gives compelling size and defensive versatility to a roster that seems all but set heading into training camp. The Clippers have 48 hours to match the deal, but seem unlikely to do so given their financial circumstance and glut of guaranteed contracts.
The Pelicans also came to terms with journeyman Darius Morris, the former 41st overall pick from the 2011 draft out of Michigan. Morris is not expected to make the roster, but could possibly fight for a two way contract along with Troy Williams, Kenrich Williams, and Garlon Green.
