Ep. 061 Route AFC North Passes Through Pittsburgh
Buccaneers 26 - Browns 23 OT
Saints 24-Ravens 23
Chiefs 45-Bengals 10
If you're "math-y" you take solace in Pittsburgh's 12/1000 of a lead over the 4-3 Bengals as the Steelers ascend the AFC North throne through sheer complacency. In a bye week of satisfying schadenfreude, we saw our AFC-N colleagues all take it on the chin, ending with a delectable destruction of the Cincinnati Bengals by 35 points (they got "Mahomed").
The Steelers "handed" the Browns their first tie of the season in week 1, serving up 6 turnovers. The game saw the advent of Chris Boswell's downturn as he missed a potential game-winning 42 yard field goal. But hey, the weather was rainy as the Steelers had on display their usual early-season sloppiness.
The upcoming contest this weekend has the Steelers as 7.5 over-dogs. The Browns don’t have the talent to cover AB, Juju and Vance who didn’t play in first game. Jabrille Peppers gets taken off the field on passing downs and Cleveland's run defense has struggled.
Baker Mayfield may realize the combination to the Steeler's defense that Tyrod Taylor could not decipher: go dow the middle as often as you can line up, and eat your way downfield.
Join us next week as we take a look at the game that might catapult us (the Ravens take on the Panthers) further into first place.
NOTE: We're looking for your guidance on a bet that we're making with My Bookie. Which team will score first: the Steelers or Browns?
