Nick asks…
"I hear a lot about this instant go up and talk rule. I've heard some call it the 3 second rule. To make the approach before approach anxiety kicks in.
That makes a lot of sense to me but I often find myself debating whether a woman is by herself or not, or whether when I start talking to her then her man will turn up and there will be an awkward standoff.
This seems to be a particular anxiety with me since I would not know how to deal with it. If you outline some strategies on how to deal with it, then I will feel more comfortable with that potential outcome and will stop using that as an excuse to put off approaching until I am sure she is alone.
Any advice on strategies?"
