The Benefits of a Regional Group Executive Director
Many local industry groups don’t have an executive director, but having that person to lead an organization can help it grow. “Managing 500 or 600 members, and trying to grow it, it becomes a job,” Debi Carpenter, executive director of the Southern California Aviation Association. Also, having a single point of contact for industry and media is crucial to the success of many groups, noted Debbie Bowman, executive director of the Aviation Council of Pennsylvania.
