Welcome back to another episode of ZorkCast. Today on the podcast we are going to talk a little bit about airline fare buckets. What’s very interesting is that airline pricing is a somewhat dynamic process. Airlines have this dynamic process of pricing that’s based on yield management, and the backbone of this system is the use of fare buckets. Fare buckets are a single letter code that represents a subtype of tickets sold. Other descriptions people might us are the “booking class” or “fare type”. Tune in as we dive into different strategies and understanding fare buckets to make sure that you are paying attention to the fare buckets so that you purchase what would be the most logical fares for a given flight. All this and more inside today’s episode!
