Sarah, whose name means "princess," was mother of many kings. How interesting that she alone only bore 1 child, and yet, God promised Abraham to the be the "Father of many nations" making her the mother of many of those nations. But Hagar, her maidservant, would also be the mother of many nations. Why? Because of something I think every single one of use women can relate to...Sarah took matters into her own hands. She didn't believe she would ever have a child and thought Hagar could be the answer giving her to Abraham to have a child. And though she was loyal to Abraham, she compromised her purity by agreeing to be his sister instead of his wife not once but twice! Again, I think every woman can relate to a time in her life when she did not stand up for truth either out of fear, lack of courage, or just plain apathy. AND YET (I love those 2 words because it feels like something exciting is about to happen) God redeemed her each and every time that she did not trust in Him to work His will in His time in His way no matter how impossible it felt. God is oh so good! Listen in today and hear how God used a sinful woman to do His work. To be the mother of the line of David and hence the line of Jesus. Do you need to be redeemed? Do you need to submit to God? Let Sarah be your inspiration!
