How we Teach the Learning Community with Brian Schubring
On this episode of the Leadership Vision Podcast, Nathan talks with our President and CEO, Brian Schubring. This is part two of our three-part series where we do a deep dive into the Learning Community event, which is a culminating Team experience that integrates a day of Strengths learning, 1 to 1 conversations, and thoughtful observations shared through a visual narrative. We capture how an individual's Strengths are being used at that particular point in time, and share those insights in a unique way that not only gives the person we’re talking about clearer language to describe who they are but helps team members better understand what makes that person strong.
In today’s episode, Brian walks us through how he taught one image he created for a particular individual. He explains how he arrived at the picture and shares with us some examples of that person's Strengths in action. We’ll describe the picture to you in detail, but here is a link to the picture we're talking about so you can see exactly what we’re talking about.
To give some context on how and where this image was taught, we were working with a group of 18 leaders that were part of a year-long leadership development program at a very large organization here in the Twin Cities. All of the leaders in this program were people who have been in their careers for 15 - 20 years with proven leadership in the company.
So here is Brain explaining that process of creating one image for our learning community engagement.
