Why Jerry Springer is a Yankee Fan: Episode 50
The podcast celebrates the Reds Opening Day on location at a festive art gallery inspired by Reds baseball cards. Special guest is Ken Broo a Cincinnati sports broadcaster friend of Jerry's who worked with Jerry when he was the news anchor. The group talks about how Jerry rooted for the Yankees while mayor of Cincinnati even -- and of course, the Reds played the Yanks in the World Series. (The local papers even outed Jerry as a Yankees fan!) Jerry tells the story of how he got out of being bullied as a kid by wearing a Yankee uniform to school -- he's been a fan ever since. Jerry even caught for Whitey Ford at a Yankee fantasy camp and had a meltdown when Mickey Mantle came to bat.
Our musical guest this week is Willie Tea Taylor.
