How Private Security Guards Protect Hollywood Kids at School
In today's era of deadly school shootings, the recent massacre at a Pittsburgh synagogue, explosive devices sent in the mail and the ever-invasive world of social media, parents in Hollywood are relying on private security to keep their kids safe on and offline — including in the classroom.
Top security firm Gavin de Becker and Associates (GDBA) has seen an increase in inquiries from schools and from clients with kids during the past year, because of recent shootings, threats and media coverage.

The DEA and ICE are hiding surveillance cameras in streetlights
The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have hidden an undisclosed number of covert surveillance cameras inside streetlights around the country, federal contracting documents reveal.
According to government procurement data, the DEA has paid a Houston, Texas company called Cowboy Streetlight Concealments LLC roughly $22,000 since June 2018 for “video recording and reproducing equipment.” ICE paid out about $28,000 to Cowboy Streetlight Concealments over the same period of time.
It’s unclear where the DEA and ICE streetlight cameras have been installed, or where the next deployments will take place. ICE offices in Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio have provided funding for recent acquisitions from Cowboy Streetlight Concealments; the DEA’s most recent purchases were funded by the agency’s Office of Investigative Technology, which is located in Lorton, Virginia.

Thorough documentation may be necessary to clear customs.
Not all medication may be available for refill.
Advanced consultation with medical providers and research into your destination are necessary prior to embarking to ensure compliance and access to medicines that keep you well.

Netanyahu's son sues former driver for taping scandalous remarks
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s son is suing his former driver over $270,000 ($1 million shekels) for recording remarks made outside of a Tel Aviv strip club that ignited scandal last January. On Sunday, Yair Netanyahu filed a suit with the Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court against Roy Rosen, a former driver of the Prime Minister’s Residence, for defamation and violation of privacy, also claiming that the wiretapping was illegal.
Yair Netanyahu came under fire after Israeli media made public a recording where he's heard asking for cash from a friend whose father, he suggests, has benefited enormously from Netanyahu's passing a multi-billion dollar gas deal through the Knesset. The exchange, where Yair says he needs the money to pay for a sex worker, reportedly took place in 2015 outside a Tel Aviv strip club in an armored, state-funded car, in the presence of a driver and a security detail, according to Israeli media outlet Hadashot.
