Meet Jaia Thomas -  a Los Angeles-based sports, entertainment and
intellectual property attorney. In addition to practicing law, Jaiais currently an adjunct professor at UCLA and contributor for Entrepreneur
Magazine. She also recently launched Diverse Representation, the first ever comprehensive database of African-American attorneys, agents, managers and publicists who work in  the sports and entertainment industry. She hold's a Bachelors degree from Colgate University and a JD from The George Washington University Law School (JD).

Ever since she was a young adult, Jaia had a passion for social justice and discovered that law was a way for her to pursue her interests and passion. On this episode, Jaia shares her journey to pursuing a law career and how she was able to overcome fear and doubt along the way. Jaia opens up about the challenges she faced as both a lawyer and entrepreneur. She also shares important legal mistakes creative entrepreneurs should avoid when building their brands.
