Believe it or not, this is the 7th episode of the FRIDAY FIXTURE to become available to download and enjoy. Time certainly goes quickly when we’re having fun producing them!
We got more interviews than ever this time around and with some icons of Cornish football from the past couple decades as well. It’s great that we can get to hear their thoughts, and even better that we can share them with our listeners.
So amidst the interviews there’s the usual features such as Rappo’s “Bet of the Week” and our Predictions on a handful of games throughout the Saturday football programme, from SWPL through to Duchy and Trelawny.
We keep in touch with our resident Truro City supporters, just Cam this week, as well as the SWPL secretary Phil Hiscox.
While Rappo takes his regular look at the Cornwall Combination League scene, we hear from County Youth coach Alan Yendall who shares the enjoyment and satisfaction in the knowledge that the county is producing some fine footballers.
We have a chat with the Perranporth football and cricket clubs who are staging a charity game soon in memory of Peter Batchelor who was connected with both clubs, while Gary Williams outlines the Torpoint season to us.
Finally, who’s left – oh of course, two big names in Cornish football, none other than Darren Gilbert and Alan Carey.
Once again, thanks for listening and please feel free to contact me – davedeacon@cornishsoccer.info with feedback, comments and suggestions for future episodes.
It’s around 90 minutes of fun talking about Cornish football with some of the people who are making sure Saturday continues to be our football day.
Don’t forget, you can always leave a voice message for inclusion by going onto the Anchor app and following CORNISH SOCCER talking football. Go on, give it a go and let us know what you reckon.
