The former 6-term member of the US House of Representatives from Georgia's 4th district (2005 - 2007) and 11th district (1993 - 1997), Cynthia McKinney was the State's first black woman to represent Georgia in the US House. A member of the Green Party since 2007, she ran for President in 2008. Born in Atlanta, GA, Cynthia is a graduate of the University of Southern California, Tufts University and the non-profit 501(c)(3), Antioch University. In 2010, Dr. McKinney was awarded the 'Peace through Conscience' award from the Munich American Peace Committee (MAPC) for her efforts to challenge U.S. and NATO war policies.
McKinney brings a concept of "PowerCells" - an initiative to unite and bring together vastly different people into common unifying cohesive groups that promote positive behavior and change... a seeming enemy and foreign concept to the US mass media machine that does very little for "The People" other than promote and create division and divide.
