It was a hardly a Mutual Admiration Society to begin with but Bowie’s love for the fledgling Bruce Springsteen was evident from the songs of his he chose to cover. Unimpressed by db’s blistering version of ‘It’s Hard To Be A Saint In The City’ The ‘Boss’ (as we don’t call him) eventually (and publicly) acknowledged David’s talent upon hearing of his passing.
